  •  My student is on a Magnet School or STO waitlist. What’s next?

    June 3, 2024 – This past spring, parents and guardians of С³óߣ students who applied to Magnet and Special Transfer Option (STOs) received notification of the district's lottery results. If students weren't placed into any of the schools they applied for, they were placed on a waitlist for those schools.

    Core Strategies
    The Department of Family and Community Engagement is designed to develop strong, innovative and collaborative partnerships. Key stakeholders engaged by this office include parent and family organizations, educators, nonprofits, businesses, faith-based entities, government agencies, institutes of higher education and civic groups. 
     
    Core Strategies include:
     
    Capacity - Build the capacity to engage and work with the community, schools, and families through training, technical assistance, public awareness, and information management

    Collaboration - Increase educational support through family engagement, partnerships, and volunteerism

    Commitment - Expand revenue streams and resources supporting Duval County Public Schools,
    supporting our schools through volunteerism, partnerships, special projects, and development.
