    Diving Deeper For Success

On behalf of Dr. Dana Kriznar, Superintendent of Schools, you are invited to participate in a virtual Principal Selection Forum to meet three principal candidates and to provide stakeholder input regarding the selection of the next principal for Bayview Elementary School.  The community forum is designed to include school stakeholders in the principal hiring process and provide an opportunity for stakeholders to provide direct feedback to the School District regarding the individual candidates.  Participants will be able to rate each candidate in specific leadership areas (Instructional Leadership, Vision, Data, Focus on Learning, School Culture, Student Behavior, Communication, and Community Relationships) as well as provide qualitative comments regarding candidates.  If you would like to submit a question for the moderator to present to the candidates, you can use the question QR code below to submit your question.  Though we will not be able to ask every question submitted, we will make every attempt to ensure that your feedback is captured.  No questions may be submitted during the forum, so please submit your questions via the link 24 hours prior to the forum.  The input of all stakeholders is essential to this process and your feedback will be used to identify the preferred candidate.  We hope that you or your representative will be able to participate in this important Principal Selection Forum.  As a reminder, this meeting will be held virtually through our Microsoft Teams platform at the link provided below.  Please understand that, to provide equity to all candidates, we will not allow entrance into the Parent/Community Stakeholder forum past the conclusion of the first candidate’s 20-minute forum period.  We look forward to your participation on June 11, 2024.

April 2023 Community First Credit Union School of the Month

Our theme for the April School of the Month was Celebrating All Students: How does your school create an inclusive, learning-friendly environment for all students?  We had many outstanding nominations, and it is my pleasure to announce our latest Community First Credit Union School of the Month for April.  Please join me in congratulating these schools for being selected as our latest School of the Month winners:

Bayview Elementary School, Principal Claire St. Amand

Bayview was selected for the many nominations they received, especially from parents.  As one parent noted, Bayview has “created learning opportunities for all children, no matter if they have learning barriers - they support, encourage, praise, and above all, they have an unwavering love for all of their children.”  Several parents specifically noted the CSS program for creating a wonderful inclusive environment for their children.  As one parent stated, “Bayview continuously paves the way for a positive, engaging learning environment for all students. This schools treats you more like family than just a number.”

January 2023 Community First Credit Union School of the Month

Congratulations to the many schools nominated for School of the Month for January, which highlighted the efforts of our schools to create inclusive school climates.  The theme for the month was “Celebrating All Students” and stakeholders were asked to describe how their school creates an inclusive, learning-friendly environment for all students.

The School of the Month for January sponsored by our partners at Community First Credit Union was particularly competitive.  We had 168 nominations and 44 schools nominated, and the quality of the nominations was truly stellar.  After much deliberation, I am excited to share with you the CFCU January Schools of the Month:

Bayview Elementary, Principal Claire St. Amand

Noted in the nominations were an emphasis on the beautiful diversity of the school and the many ways they work to include all students in their programs.  One parent shared a personal experience about how the school wrapped their arms around her family after a traumatic medical event in their family.  A parent of one of our students with disabilities shared the many ways her son is included with other students throughout the school day.  An employee shared the teachers have weekly circle time for check-ins to make sure the students have a safe space to talk with their teachers.
