• Your half-penny at work: See the revenue and the projects

Now that voters have approved a voluntary half-penny sales tax to support the renovation and rebuilding of Duval County's public school buildings, work has begun to make the 15-year plan a reality. The community can use the dashboard below to see both the financial and project progress.

Use the sorting features to focus in on schools or areas of interest. Click over to schedules to see what is a happening now, and what is planned for the near future. As projects are funded and prepared ready for contracting, the MWSBE tab will show the district's goals for minority and women owned business, as well as small business, participation in the building program.

The district's Master Facilities Plan provides enhanced safety and security at all schools, addresses crumbling school infrastructure, reduces the use of portables and improves operating efficiency. Most important, it gives students from the Northside to Mandarin and from the Beaches to Baldwin an appropriate environment for teaching and learning.
