    Duval County Public Schools has rigorous Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and career pathways to provide students with the tools necessary to either pursue post-secondary education or a career pathway. 

    Students have an opportunity to earn an industry certificate which will help them be more employable, use it to earn college credits, and also meet requirements for high school graduation. Students will participate in work-based learning opportunities. Students can also participate in Career and Technical Student Organizations, which help students enhance their knowledge in the professional world.

    The mission of the Career and Technical Education Department is to prepare employable, productive citizens who can adapt to a rapidly changing and highly technological global community.
